The interior design project for an isolated house, located in the town of Sant Joan de les Abadesses, in Ripollès, has been carried out in collaboration with the architecture studio PAM.
The house is situated in an area surrounded by forest and vegetation, and the design prioritizes integration with the environment, high-quality materials, open spaces, and maximizing natural light. The interior design features neutral colors and warm materials, highlighting the prominence of wood used in ceilings, flooring, and wall paneling.
The house is accessed through a wide hallway where the stone facade leads you inside. Natural wood paneling on the walls conceals the entrance to the guest bathroom and the guest area. The guest bathroom, hidden behind the paneling, features a beige microcement finish and is complemented by wallpaper with botanical motifs in gold and brown tones in the sink and shower area.
Continuing down the hallway, we access, on one side, the daytime area, comprising the living room, dining room, and kitchen, and on the other side, through a wooden slatted screen that softens the entrance, the area designated for the home office, gym, and sauna. All of these spaces face the porch and garden.
In the living area, we find an open-plan space where the different areas flow seamlessly into one another and to the outdoors through numerous openings. The spacious and bright living room features a central fireplace for winter days and a cozy reading nook with stunning views of the porch, garden, and the surrounding landscape.
In the suite space, wood is combined with gray microcement and black iron that bring character and elegance to the space.
