Júlia Brunet is a Barcelona-based interior design studio founded by interior designer Mireia Torruella.

The name of the studio does not refer to a specific person, but rather represents an alter ego — a distinctive way of understanding interior design. Júlia is the name of her daughter; Brunet, her grandmother’s surname. A symbolic union of past and future that defines the studio’s essence: roots, evolution, and continuity.

The studio was created with the intention of combining contemporary design with architecture of character, respecting the essence of each space while highlighting its original elements. Every project is approached as a dialogue with both the place and the people who inhabit it, seeking functional, clear, and well-balanced solutions.

Júlia Brunet’s way of working is deeply connected to a family background rooted in the furniture industry. From an early age, Mireia grew up surrounded by materials, pieces, brands, and trade fairs, which has given her a broad and rigorous perspective, as well as a strong ability to combine diverse elements with discernment and harmony.

At the studio, each project is understood as a complete process. From the initial concept to the final execution, every decision is carefully considered through an honest and functional lens, working with real materials, natural light, and a timeless aesthetic that prioritises order and durability.

Júlia Brunet has extensive experience in both residential and contract projects and works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Each project is developed on a bespoke basis, with the aim of creating spaces designed to be lived in — coherent with their surroundings and true to the people who make them their own.
